Peer influence is the direct effect on an individual to follow his peers by changing his attitude, values, beliefs or behaviour to conform to those of the influencing group. Youths, in particular, are readily at risk of peer influence. Such influence or pressure could bother on immorality, substance abuse, examination malpractice, initiation into cultism, etc. It was the wisest King that warned , saying “My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.” (Proverbs 1:10)

Today, peer influence has moved from face-to-face interaction to digital interaction. Social media offers opportunities for youths to instill and experience pressure everyday. Peer influence sometimes brings a positive change or improvement; but more often than not, youths tend to be influenced towards evil by their unsaved peers.
